TOUR PROGRAM


DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Afternoon drive past New Delhi & visit Qutub Minar.
Visit India Gate Built of Bharatpur stone, commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. Photo stop at Rashtrapati Bhawan once the Viceroy's residence is now the official residence of the President of India. Later visit the Qutub Minar the landmark of Delhi, a huge tower of victory started in 1199 and completed in 1368. The minar is 72.5m high with a diameter at the base 14.4m and 2.7m at the top. The tower has 379 steps to the top.

Welcome Dinner at Spice Route.

Heralded as one of the top ten restaurants in the world by Cond?Nast Traveler, The Spice Route - serving Southeast Asian cuisine, has been designed to reflect the journey of spices from the Malabar Coast in Kerala through Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Indonesia to Thailand and Vietnam.

HOTEL: THE IMPERIAL

DAY 2: DELHI
Morning visit the Humayun's Tomb, built by his wife Haji Begum in the 16th. Century. An early example of Mughal architecture considered the predecessor of the Taj Mahal.

Lunch on own.

Dinner at Bukhara Restaurant (At Hotel Maurya Sheraton).

DAY 3 : DRIVE DELHI - JAIPUR
Afternoon sightseeing of City Palace & Observatory.
Afternoon visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar (1728-34) by king astrologer Jai Singh II. The instruments are built of stone with marble facing on the important plains for measuring the harmony of the heavens. Each instrument serves a particular function and each gives an accurate reading.

Dinner at hotel.
HOTEL: SAMODE HAVELI

DAY 4: JAIPUR
Morning visit Amer Fort. Enjoy the half-day excursion trip to Amber Fort with Elephant or Jeep ride. En route, make a photo stop at the palace of winds the Hawa Mahal.

Evening at leisure.
Experience the Polo Bar. Dinner at Rambagh Palace

DAY 5: FLY TO JODHPUR
Connect flight IT 4301 1510 / 1610 (Operates Nov to March only) to Jodhpur

Afternoon Tonga ride
The Tonga entered Indian culture in mid 18th century through the traders of East India Company. Built initially for their own luxury, it later became part of the common man?s life.

DAY 6: JODHPUR
AM : Sightseeing of Jodhpur
Experience Vintage Car. Take route via Balasamand to Mehrangarh Fort.
Visit Mehrangarh Fort, which was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. It has various pavilions beautifully decorated and at times filled like museums with the old royal artifacts. From the top of the fort one can get a bird?s eye view of the old city.

Walk down from Fort to Raas. Lunch at Raas. Take the car back to the hotel.  Dinner at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Vintage Cars.

DAY 7: DRIVE TO UDAIPUR via RANAKPUR
Sightseeing of Ranakpur.
Ranakpur Jain Temples. Renowned for some marvelously carved Jain temples in amber stones, Ranakpur is one of the five holy places of the Jain community. These temples were created in the 15th century A.D. during the reign of Rana Kumbha and are enclosed within a wall. The central 'Chaumukha' or four-faced temple is dedicated to the venerated Tirthankara Rishabhji. Open on all four sides, it enshrines the four-faced image of Adinath. Sprawling over 48,000 sq. feet, the temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars - all distinctly carved.

Lunch at King?s Abode. Drive to Udaipur.  Welcome with garlands & Music.

DAY 8: UDAIPUR
Morning city Palace + Jagdish Temple.  Visit the City Palace built on the bank of the Pichola Lake, by Maharana Udai Singh in 1570. The impressive complex of several palaces is a blend of Rajput and Mughal influences. Half of it is still occupied by the Royal family, and part converted into a museum.

Later visit Jagdish Temple Built in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh, Jagdish Temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple in Udaipur. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is famous for its beautiful sculpted images and towering shikhara. The temple represents a fine example of Indo-Aryan architectural style.

Lunch at Jagat Palace.

Evening enjoy Boat ride on Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola derives its name from Pichola Village. Maharana Udai Singh enlarged the lake after he founded the city of Udaipur. This picturesque 4 km long and 3 km wide lake encloses the Jag Niwas Island and the Jag Mandir.

Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at Chunda Palace.

DAY 09: DRIVE TO SHAHPURA enroute visiting Chittorgarh.
Sightseeing of Chittorgarh. Packed Lunch.

Chittorgarh, the legendary city of Rajasthan, is the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and spirit. Known as the city of bravery and sacrifice, Chittorgarh was one of the most fiercely contested seats of power in India. Many legends and tales associated with heroism and sacrifices of the passionate men and women of Chittorgarh make it a wonderful place to visit.

A trip into Shahpura reveals the town?s rich multi-cultural vibrancy and its fascinating arts and crafts tradition. Sit with the Joshis and watch a traditional Phad, a painting depicting mythology and history, come to life. Explore the many goods on sale in the marketplace. Get a leather mojari or local footwear, made to your size. Understand the local people's way of life, mingle with artisans and farmers and innocent children...

DAY 10: SHAHPURA
Full day at leisure.  Meeting and Dinner with the member of Royal Family.

DAY 11: DRIVE SHAHPURA - RANTHAMBORE
Ranthambore, one of the finest tiger reserves in India nestled in the Aravallis, is home to a variety of flora and fauna. It is a dry deciduous forest replete with several lakes, rivulets and a magnificent ancient fort overlooking the park. The wildlife that one can see here are a large variety of birds, including an impressive number of waterfowl and birds of prey.

Lunch at hotel.  Evening safari into the Park.

DAY 12: RANTHAMBORE - RAMATHARA
Morning enjoy Park Safari

After an early lunch drive to RAMATHRA.  Ramathra Fort lies between two of India?s internationally famous wildlife reserves, Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur and Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur. Whether you prefer to stay home and take in the fort?s tranquil atmosphere or wish to explore its many natural sites, your hosts at Ramathra promise you a memorable stay.

DAY 13: RAMATHARA
Morning Village Tour. The visit in the village given an insight into the life of villagers. As you see them very excited, the interaction with them is a wonderful experience.

DAY 14: DRIVE TO AGRA via BHARATPUR
Lunch with visit to Keoladeo Ghana National Park.

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary or Keoladeo Ghana National Park was established in 1956. This 29 sq km marshland is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world with over 360 species of birds, out of which 117 are the local birds. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, it used to be a part of the private shooting reserve of the Maharaja of Bharatpur.

Continue drive to Agra.

DAY 15: AGRA - DELHI
Early morning visit Taj Mahal.

Visit the Taj Mahal - a poem in white marble, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Today India's most fascinating and beautiful masterpiece, this perfectly symmetrical edifice is set amidst landscaped gardens on the banks of the Yamuna River

After breakfast visit Agra Fort - Designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., the fort is surrounded by a 70 feet high wall. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces. The Agra fort happens to be on the same bank of the river Yamuna as the Taj Mahal, which is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. It is an imposing structure with walls of red sandstone almost three kilometers long

Drive to Delhi.
